FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | APRIL 2026 67
Last month, I turned 74 years old and I started remembering
all the great times I had fishing with friends and relatives. I even
remembered the first time my dad took me fishing at the All
American canal in Coachella. Believe it or not, I remembered the
first fish I caught was a catfish. Considering I was only eight years
old at the time, I guess some things you never forget.
I went fishing with my good friends at Four Seasons in March. We
went to Diamond Valley Lake in Hemet and we were fishing with a
guide by the name of Mark Franco. Mark is one of the best guides
I have had the good fortune of fishing with. We were fishing for
Stripers and we were all able to catch some nice ones. Mark took
a picture of us with some of the fish we caught. I was fishing with
Eddie, Jessie, and Bob. It was the second time we went with Mark,
and, once again, he entertained us with a great deal of laughs and
pure fishing fun.
The weather has been really weird for fishing this season. The
weather is hot one day and cold the next. The rain we had in February
was an added relief. I am not sure when we will go fishing again
or what kind of fish we will be going after. I know for sure that I
want to go deep sea fishing this season. Summer should be great for
fishing this year. Let's all hope we can fill our freezers with a bunch
of fish. Tight lines to all my fishing friends and remember you can
only make fishing memories when you take time to go fishing. ~
