Golf Cart: The Holiday Parade was the
last golf cart parade until the Fourth of July
Parade. Hopefully, the turnout will be as
good for the Fourth of July Parade as it was
for the Holiday Parade. As we get closer
to July, more information will be made
available. Until then, mark your calendar
for July 4th 8:30 am.
Flag Angels: The Flag Angels started off
the year with f lag postings for MLK Day and
Presidents Day. The Angels will get a well-
deserved bit of rest; the next postings will
not be until Memorial Day, end of May. In
February, I highlighted Denise and Bruce
Sunderland, but their photo did not make it
to the Herald. So, to rectify this oversight, I
inserted the photo of the Sunderlands in the
Cart Club/Flag Angel article for the March
issue. And I added "I might add one heck of
a picture!" Well, the Herald staff evidently
thought so too and included it on the inside
the Hemet Herald page in the same issue.
For the past two years, I have been
highlighting the Flag Angels, one route per
month. I am all caught up so next month
I will highlight the substitutes. They fill a
vital service by filling in at the last minute
(in some cases the very day of f lag posting).
We have lost several angels due to assorted
reasons. I have used up the substitutes
and need some volunteers to substitute as
needed. If anyone is interested in being a
