Loss and the living
On Jan. 2, my dear friend turned 101; on Jan. 15, she passed away.
Oh, how I miss her. She lived a full life and was ready for her next
chapter. Working in a senior community I experience the loss more
often than many. None of it is easy. It seems each of us are walking
around with layers of grief for our loved ones, friends, neighbors
and sometimes coworkers. We are left behind to live. So we take
our layers and wrap them up with a smile and head out to work,
exercise class, the sport courts, a dance or a nice meal at the Bistro.
The living must keep living, otherwise what is the point?
This community is such a beautiful place to live and play! The
committees and the clubs offer so many things to keep you moving
body and mind.
Spring cleaning time. Shred Day is April 25, followed by the
Annual Community Yard Sale on May 2.
