QUILTERS
We quilters love to quilt, of course, but it seems that we also love
to eat. For the past few months, the "revolving" leader of our group
has brought along yummy goodies for us. The first week of March,
Christine Young, a new member headed up the meeting and provided
this spread. Talk about jumping in with both feet. Well done, Christine!
One of our members, Priscilla Mihalik is well known to us for making
up her own patterns. She just has that ability to see how the pieces go
together and then she just does it. Most of us need a step by step pattern
with detailed instructions. She recently put together this little jewel
with squares and half squares. We applaud her creativity, even if she is a
bit camera shy.
Meet Olive who is a member of our Knit and Crochet group.
She is finishing up a vest made from yarn donated to our group.
You may recognize Olive as she was a regular vendor for many
years at Solera's Christmas Craft Fair selling her beautiful
knit items — hats, sweaters, slippers and fun things like knit
pumpkin decos. Her smile is infectious and she is always so
welcoming and friendly to people she meets.
