| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MAY 2026 | 3 By Anita Lawrence, Publicity Chair Tickets for Charity Week events scheduled for June 8 – 14 will begin on Wed., May 6 and continue on each Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday throughout the month of May. Tickets will be sold at the Main Clubhouse Portico and can be purchased with cash, credit cards or checks made payable to Charity Week. Sale dates and times are as follows: Wednesdays (May 6, 13, 20, 27) and Fridays (May 8, 15, 22, 29) in May, from 3 to 6 pm. Saturdays (May 9, 16, 23), from 4 to 6 pm. Here's a closer look at more of the events scheduled for Charity Week. Fri., June 12, 5 pm, Main Clubhouse Ballroom: Honky Tonk Saloon & Dance Hall Doors open at 5 pm and Country Western Band, Caliente, will provide the music for dancing from 6 to 9 pm. Several members from the Sun Lakes Line Dance Group will be on hand to teach easy line dances; there will be photo opportunities, food, adult beverages for purchase (no outside alcohol permitted) and fun. So round up your favorite western wear, boots, and hats and mosey on down to the Honky Tonk Saloon & Dance Hall for a rootin' tootin' good time. GET YER TICKETS! Sat., June 13, 9 am: Shoot-Out on the back 9 of the Championship Golf Course Follow the field to watch the pros play with our Sun Lakes amateurs on the back 9 of the Championship Course. Beverage carts will be available for adult beverage purchases. Please do not bring dogs in your golf cart or onto the course. For more information, contact Woody Catalano at (951) 769-9467. Sat., June 13, 1 pm: Music on the Veranda Open to all residents, free event. No outside alcohol permitted. Sun., June 14, 8:30 am: Pro-Am Tournament This is the event that started it all. Once again, spectators are welcome to follow the field to see some exciting golf on the Championship course. Beverage carts will be available. Please do not bring dogs to the course. Residents are invited to attend the live auction following the luncheon at approximately 2:30 pm. Come out and place a bid to win some great prizes.
