36 | LIFE IN SOLERA | MAY 2026 | QUILTERS The Solera Quilters once again had a table at the Craft Fair. We raff led off two gifts this time. One was a beautiful quilt made by our members collectively, and quilted by Judy Bendel. The second was a set of six placemats, again made by several of our members together. We raised a nice amount of funds to support Jesse and his postage expenses to mail packages to our troops. We surpassed the last Craft Fair raff le thanks to the generosity of the attendees, and will continue to make an appearance at this twice a year event. The lucky winners tickets were drawn with the help of Board member, Willie Hill. What are the chances, but both winners were named Debbie! The first ticket drawn was Debbie Eudy, and the second, Debbie Conner. Both are Solera residents and pictured here with their treasures. Congratulations to both lucky winners! Our Knit and Crochet membership is small, but we are hoping with all the new residents coming to Solera lately that maybe some individuals will come and check out our group and consider joining us. The picture features Carolyn who is working on crocheting an afghan. Shirley in the background has been knitting prayer shawls. Our group will have the Clubhouse hobby window for May so it will be a good glimpse of the creativity in our group. We meet Thursdays at the Clubhouse from 10 am to noon. Come visit and see if our hobby may interest you. Yarn and needles are available for people who may be interested in trying knitting or crocheting. Needlepoint or cross stitchers welcome too.
