24 | LIFE IN SOLERA | MAY 2026 | SOLERA SIPPERS The pictures at right are from our Members Appreciation Dinner-Business dinner in March. For the business part we voted to amend our bylaws and elected our new Executive Board. Officers going out were President Marty Anderson, Vice-President LeeAnn Weiskopf, Treasurer Gary Stoh, and Secretary Diane Coffman. The unanimously approved new Executive Board members are President Marty Anderson, Vice-President Karry Crawford, Treasurer Gay Stoh, and Secretary Diane Coffman. A big "Thank You" was given to the outgoing Board and members of the Steering Committee for their work during the last year for service to the club. DJ Blast was our DJ for the night and kept us moving. As a thank you to the membership we had drawings during the evening for 12 bottles of wine. This month we are having our Black and White Dinner. Attire for the evening should be Black and/or white, dressed up or casual. DJ Blast will be there to keep us moving. Keep your eye out for the f lier. One of the changes to our bylaws now allows for a Sponsored Membership for a Solera resident who is single and has a significant other who does not live in Solera. The non-resident can be a member without added guest fee as long as the relationship exists. Also, for those who live in Solera and would like to come to an event before joining, it is now possible. The cost will be what other members are paying plus the $10 guest fee. If you decide to join, the guest fee will be applied to your club membership fee of $20. Our yearly membership remains at $20 per year. This membership fee helps supplement the expense for our monthly events. Our event fees are also based upon each event cost. I was confused the other day when someone told me I can make ice cubes with left over wine. What is "left over wine?"
