| LIFE IN SOLERA | MAY 2026 | 41 GOLF CLUB While working for the Riverside County Board of Supervisors, Brenda was given a lesson by the County Assessor and the next day played in an outing. That was the start of golf for Brenda. She enjoys golfing with our Solera Club and once shot a 99 at Tukwet with only four clubs! Her favorite course is Oak Valley where Brenda shot her low score of 93. Away from the course, Brenda enjoys being with family and friends and watching old movies with husband Gary and Spunky and Funny Face, their cats. Brenda's family extends from California to Washington State and New Hampshire and then on to Arkansas/ Oklahoma. In retirement, Brenda has also served as a Hospice aide and enjoys music with her church group, singing solos at LA Emmanuel Baptist Rescue Mission. As we go to press, the Golf Club Match Play Championship is headed for the Final at Yucaipa Golf Course with Ray Smith playing Bob Umeck. On the horizon, in late May is the annual Memorial Tournament which welcomes all golfers including non-club members for a day of golf and merriment at Oak Valley Golf Club. Bring a foursome of family and friends, with the opportunity to win some great awards and prizes. For info, call Prez Stan Whitesel at (951) 314-9401 or Sec Bob Umeck at (909) 435-1542. TIP OF THE MONTH BY LEE TREVINO If you are missing short putts: 1. Keep more weight on left side 2. Play ball closer to right foot 3. Don't look up till you hear the ball drop. We have a great community and Mike Bedwell is letting us use his table until the new tables come in. Thanks again to Mike and Lewis for offering their tables. Pictured above are Noah and Kevin playing on the Joola blue table. PING PONG Brenda Stange and Husband Gary
