The Open Session Meeting is scheduled for June 24 at 1 pm. Turf Removal Project: The turf removal project should be in full swing. We have and will continue to provide information as we can to make sure that there is as little impact as possible to the community. Please keep in mind that at the end of the day, this is a construction project and it will effect residents in some capacity as it is in progress. We will continue to work to make sure it is as little impact as possible, and we thank you for your understanding! Volunteers Needed: With June comes the month of renewing volunteers for our committees for the Association. We have a few spots open in our committees and more may open up. If you'd like to volunteer for a committee, please fill out the volunteer application. Our community is so great because of all the people that work together to make it that way. There is no professional background or experience required to volunteer, just the drive to serve your community. Please think about giving back to our great community. Summer is Here: Please remember that with summer here and family coming to visit that we make sure to respect our neighbors and friends and that we know the rules regarding guests for our community. If you have questions regarding guests and usage of the facilities, please contact the Lodge for information. Make sure to sign your guests in! Have a great June and be safe out there with the heat! By Jon Payne, CMCA Supervisor's Message By Supervisor Yxstian Gutierrez With June being Elder Abuse Awareness month, I wanted to emphasize the importance of raising awareness, as well as the prevention of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of older adults. If you suspect a senior is suffering from abuse or neglect, I urge you to submit a referral to APS (Adult Protective Services) at: https://reporttoaps.org/. If you are concerned a senior or disabled person is isolated, there is a free local service to bring reassurance and safety. The Hemet Police Department's You Are Not Alone (YANA) program provides scheduled phone calls or visits to promote security for residents. Participants must provide authorization by submitting an application form to begin phone calls. Forms may be e-mailed to: ZGray@hemetca.gov / or mailed to: Zina Gray YANA Coordinator, 450 E.
