Committee member volunteers, choosing rocks which will enhance the
park off of Leisure Village Way between Arcadia Way and Andros Way. The
"Park" includes and encompasses the Butterf ly Park, which is maintained
by the Butterf ly Club. The Landscape Committee, an arm of the Master
Board, maintains jurisdiction over the majority of the park. The western-
most section of the park has pretty much been left naturalized due to its
occupants: a variety of snakes. Perhaps the residents would like to form
a "Snake Club" which could operate successfully, like the Butterf ly Club?
If you are not interested in a Snake Club, how about joining a group
that contributes infinitely more to our little community. Our Landscape
Committee has been limping along for two months since the retirement of
our beloved leader, Alma Cisco Smith, and another majorly contributing
volunteer. The Landscape Committee is one of the major reasons why
our community is so impressive. Subject to our approved Plant and Tree
Lists, we choose all of the plants to be planted on the premises.
As I write this, OHCC is so enchanting that we have only four homes
for sale in the community. Surely, out of the remaining 1,628 homes,
there must be someone with a faintly green thumb (tinges of brown
will be accepted) who would be willing to contribute to the camaraderie
and sense of pride of this devoted committee. Committed time will be
