AV (DEMYSTIFIED)
Audio Visual volunteers are the ones who support the Master Board, its Standing Committees, and the Recreation
Department with audio, lights, video, and on-demand streaming and broadcasting. And have fun along the way!
Last month was a busy one for AV. In addition to the monthly Master Board meeting, we supported Theatre Arts,
Eggstravaganza, Dance Troupe rehearsals and performances, and a Skin Cancer Awareness lecture.
Just so you know: AV is not a social club. Volunteers perform their duties under the auspices of the AV Committee, a
Standing Committee of the Master Board. But we are also social!
Want to become an AV volunteer and join in the fun? We will train you! Choose one, two, or all three areas:
AUDIO: Learn about microphone placement and adjustment. If
interested, advance to using our Audio Mixer Board to capture the
sound just right
LIGHTING: Learn to control stage lights, hall lights, spotlights,
colors, and intensity to create the perfect mood. If interested,
advance to programming our Light Board.
VIDEO: Learn to set up cameras, frame shots, and follow
movement. If interested, advance to directing all six cameras and
choosing the best shots for quality viewing.
