We have some exciting news this month! Our redesigned and
updated website is ready to go live, and we have a new email too.
You can see the new site on the OHCC resident site by clicking on the
Sewing Etc. button. Zoraya De La Bastida has done an amazing job
creating the new site. Be sure to check it out. Thank you, Zoraya,
for all your hard work! The new email is ohccsewingetc@gmail.
com and will keep us from re-inventing the wheel every time the
board changes.
A quick apology for last month's article. The photo caption
should have identified new members, Andrea Matsumoto and Janet
Hansen. Oops! This month's photos are from the April luncheon.
Our guest speakers, Bob Bechill, OHCC Village Vets, Berenicé
Dorantes and Cassandra Wiley, Camp Pendleton YMCA, were so
inspirational. It was wonderful for members to hear how their
volunteer activities impact so many! Keep up the amazing work!
Regular monthly meetings are on the first Thursday of the month
at 9:30 am in the Mykonos Room but come early for refreshments
and social time. Please remember to sign up for classes and
events on the clipboards in the Sewing Room. If you need more
information, contact Jacqueline Ettinger, at (302) 540-2027. Also,
if any of your contact information has changed, fill out a Sewing
Club membership form at the front desk. Dues are just $7 for new
or returning members.
Thank you, members and residents, for recent donations of fabric,
yarn, tools, and machines. It really helps to keep the volunteer

you have items to donate.
