FOUR SEASONS TERRA LAGO ROADRUNNER | JULY 2026 7 The Events Planning Committee organized the second annual Spring Clean Sweep event on Friday, April 17, at the Lodge. This year, they again partnered with the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission (CVRM), which was present to collect donations ranging from furniture to canned goods. The event was a tremendous success, surpassing last year's results. In 2025, one truck was filled quickly, prompting the committee to arrange for a second truck this year. Both trucks were filled between 9 and 11 am, thanks to enthusiastic participation from residents. Many took the opportunity for spring cleaning, donating items such as furniture, household goods, bikes, TVs, and more. Additionally, several community members brought canned foods and non-perishable items to support CVRM's mission to provide food for those in need. Donations collected during the Spring Clean Sweep directly benefit the CVRM. The organization delivers essential emergency services and ongoing support to individuals in the Coachella Valley. Their efforts focus on meeting the needs of the homeless, those struggling with addiction, and the hungry by providing shelter, food, necessities, and emotional care. If you missed the chance to donate during the event, you could still contribute at CVRM's drop-off location at 47470 Van Buren St., Indio, CA. Donations are accepted daily from 8 am to 4 pm in the parking lot. To arrange an at home pickup of a large item contact CVRM at 760-347-3512, ext. 300 or email to donations@cvrm.org. Keep an eye out for the 2027 Clean Sweep Event. ~ Debbie Hehn Spring Clean Sweep
