20| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JULY 2026 | Wow, time really f lies! We are already halfway through the year. A few reminders regarding the pools: Residents must accompany their guests at all times, and designated children's hours are from 10 am to 2 pm. As a resident, you are responsible for the actions of your guests. Please also note that guests are not permitted at the South Clubhouse indoor pool. If you plan to host a gathering on the patios at Main Clubhouse, South Clubhouse, or North Clubhouse, please be sure to make a reservation in advance. You may contact the Recreation Department to check availability. We are happy to assist you. Let's work together to follow these guidelines and ensure a safe, fun, and incident-free experience at our beautiful pools here at Sun Lakes. I look forward to seeing everyone enjoying the lovely summer weather and participating in all our exciting activities. Additionally, I would like to welcome Angelica Morales! Angelica is a new addition to the Recreation Department and will serve as the Lifestyle Coordinator. Her responsibilities include overseeing room reservation scheduling and supporting Recreation Department events and activities. Please stop by to welcome her and say hello! The Recreation Committee meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 2 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. You are welcome to attend a meeting to learn more about what the Recreation Committee does and how it helps plan and guide recreational events. You may also attend if you have any questions or concerns related to recreation. Message From The Recreation Department Celebrating America's 250th Birthday - this year's theme: "Happy Birthday America!" For golf carts and classic cars parade participants, certificates, gift cards, and ribbons will be awarded to the following winners (golf cart participants only): First, second, third places, and the coveted Bill Mock Award (last year's winner pictured above). Registration deadline is July 1 in the Main Clubhouse Lobby. Please note that only residents may register. If guests will be operating a golf cart, the resident is fully responsible for ensuring guests are always accompanied and remain within the clubhouse activity areas. The deadline to register your golf cart is July 1. On July 4, the opening ceremony, award announcements, and parade kickoff will all take place in the Main Clubhouse parking lot. For those who would like to watch the parade, festivities will begin with the golf carts exiting the Main Clubhouse and turning right. The parade route will continue right onto Riviera, right onto Country Club Drive, then ending in the Main Clubhouse parking lot. Don't forget that after the parade, fun activities will be taking place on the Veranda, and CCL Restaurant will be hosting an indoor BBQ in the Ballroom. More detailed information about the BBQ will be available soon from CCL. Annual 4th of July Golf Cart Parade Map of Golf Carts & Classic Cars Line-Up and Parade Route
