I hope the first six months of the year have been good for everyone. We do have several trips planned for the rest of the year, so information about each will be forthcoming from our Wagon Master as the rallies get closer. Here's a breakdown of trips planned: July's rally is to Silent Valley July 23 - 27. It's $60/night, which if you check out other campgrounds, is very reasonable. Lupe should be sending out additional information soon, if she hasn't already. We initially scheduled a Home Town Rally for July 27, but it has been rescheduled to take place in August. The plan is to have it when Music Under the Stars is scheduled. More information to come on this. In September, we will be having a rally at Vista Elks. This is Sept. 1 - 8. Bob Drummond is our trail boss. We have 20 sites reserved, which the last I heard was full already. Bob does have a waiting list, so give him a call at (562) 755-1333. We have had several cancel, and who knows who else may need to cancel. Our annual club business meeting is set for Oct. 15. We will be electing a new Vice-President and Treasurer at this meeting. Ballots will be going out in September. We are attempting to have a rally Oct. 21 - 26 to Emerald Cove. More to come regarding this soon. Our Christmas Party is set for Dec. 4 at the South Clubhouse. The club will have the dinner catered, and is working on having a band for entertainment. Looking forward to 2027 we have a number of things planned but due to the HOA's changing the process of reservations for clubhouses, we won't know dates until sometime in July. Here's the tentative schedule for 2027. Home Town Rally in January February - Rally to Coachella RV Park March/April - Coordinate the Yuma Rally with a Borrego Rally May - Rally to Hemet June - Home Town Rally September - Looking at going to Jackson, but due to gas prices, may go to Bishop or Pismo Beach October - Annual Business Meeting December - Christmas Party Again, we'll be notified of the dates for our events in Sun Lakes sometime in July.
