Team Sunshine will be "dark" in July – so that we may all enjoy an extra-long July 4th holiday weekend without missing a meeting! Please join us when we return for our next meeting, Aug. 3 at 10:30 am. Sunshine's June Kindness Award was presented to Carol Wakefield by Brenda Beers and Ginger Carlson, for her outstanding caregiver commitment to a fellow Four Seasons resident! What began as one to two days' caring for a friend's dogs following surgery, unexpectedly extended into six weeks of care. Carol was devoted to her commitment of care – feeding and tending to the pups' needs and happily providing daily enrichment walks to the beloved family pooches! Teams Sunshine Events: We're now able to bring you a couple of photos from our May 12 Health Fair. You can see that our Team Sunshine ladies absolutely LOVE what they do – and we are always so thankful to VNA for bringing this FREE event to our community each year! Our 90+ Birthday Bash held June 23 was a huge hit, as always. We should all hope to age this gracefully! Stay tuned in October for a panel of four keynote speakers, focusing on hot topics relevant to our community: Veteran Relief; Medicare; Retirement Finance (Edward Jones); and Hospice Fraud (Home Instead/VNA).
