Ours kicked off with a bang with the annual BBQ at Marty Anderson's abode with its putting greens and grand view of #16 at Oak Valley. Part of the celebration was to honor our Club Champions. Bob Umeck won the Gross Division; Rod Fry the Net Division. What a wonderful social occasion for all with Marty and Stan Whitesel grilling the burgers and hot dogs and everyone providing the trimmings-appetizers, pies, cakes, cookies, salads. What great food! GOLF TIP: For more consistent ball-striking, keep arms straight and club shaft ahead of the ball at contact. Solera Golf Cart Club Celebrates Its First Fourth of July Parade The Solera Forever Young Golf Cart Club celebrated its first-ever Fourth of July Golf Cart Parade, bringing neighbors together for a morning filled with patriotism, creativity, and community spirit. Members decorated their golf carts in dazzling red, white, and blue with flags, banners, streamers, and festive patriotic displays. The parade traveled through the neighborhoods of Solera, where residents gathered outside their homes to wave, cheer, and celebrate Independence Day together. What began as a simple idea to encourage fellowship and community has quickly grown into a fun tradition that everyone can enjoy. The smiles, laughter, and friendly conversations along the parade route reminded us that some of the best memories are made close to home with our neighbors. The Solera Forever Young Golf Cart Club was created to bring residents together through friendship, fellowship, and community activities. In addition to holiday parades, the club looks forward to organizing social gatherings, themed rides, and other events throughout the year that help strengthen the connections that make Solera such a wonderful place to live. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, decorated a cart, waved from their driveways, and helped make our inaugural Fourth of July Parade such a memorable success. Your enthusiasm and support made the event truly special. If you enjoy meeting new people, decorating your golf cart, and participating in fun community events, we invite you to join the Solera Forever Young Golf Cart Club. Together, we're building traditions, creating lasting friendships, and celebrating the wonderful spirit of our Solera community.
