Vince Siciliano - photo - "Lewis Creek Falls" | OHCC LIVING | AUGUST 2026 |27 Art Lovers On June 16, The Art Lovers Club arranged a bus trip to The San Diego Museum of Art in Balboa Park to view e Toulouse Lautrec Show. The Museum divided us into groups with three different docents. One of them was one of the best docents that we have ever had in any museum! She gave us such detailed insight into the life and times of Toulouse Lautrec in the Paris of l864-1901. Toulouse Lautrec was the son of a wealthy and aristocratic family who suffered from genetic dwarfism. His first lithographic print, a poster for The Moulin Rouge dates from 1891; in the remaining 10 years of his life, he made nearly 400 prints in black and white and in color. He is considered to be the greatest of all Poster Designers. On July 7, The Art Lovers Club will be taking a most anticipated car trip to the Open House of The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints in La Jolla followed by lunch at The Fish Market Restaurant. Written by Susan Pick, President As we celebrate our 250th year of "America the Beautiful," we are delighted to feature the fabulous photography of the OHCC Photo Club in our recently installed Art Studio exhibit and in new display areas in the Clubhouse. We hope that you have enjoyed the dynamic photograph at the front desk, "Lewis Creek Falls" by Vince Siciliano. Also, we are very pleased with the beautiful photograph of Babu Patrose's garden flowers, "America Nasturtiums" displayed on the wall by Julie Van Dam's office. And we have a photograph by Ernie Pick temporarily in the office of Julie entitled "Flowers" and a lovely mixed media by Joyce Chaney titled "On the fence." Beautiful photos, beautiful creations! Enjoy! If you would like to display your artwork, please contact Judy Harris, Lainy Vinikow, or Mike Thornton. is article was submitted by Lainy and Judy. Art Studio Inspiration Hill As we walk the trail at Inspiration Hill, we are always impressed by the varied community inspirations as expressed on the Donor Bricks. The trail begins by honoring our pioneer OHCC Founders, and continues with those who so bravely served us. There are bricks honoring family members, beloved pets, and favorite universities. What is your inspiration? The HOA continues to take orders for your own personalized bricks. Fill out an order form at the HOA office, and include a check for $75. Your inspiration brick will help line the trail to the top of the hill! Joyce Chaney - mixed media - "On the fence" Flowers Docent Tour of the Cafe's and Cabarets Exhibit of Toulouse-Lautrec
