40 | OHCC LIVING | AUGUST 2026 | In June, our "Sip into Summer" Happy Hour on the Palm Court was a great success. A big thank you to the RV Club Band for the entertainment, and to the 60 plus members who attended. Also, a big thank you to Karin Barnes, Laura Farr, and the Social Committee for hosting this event. July brought the Beach Boys-themed "Catch a Wave" party on the Lanai which was a great member meet up with an abundance of food, beverages, and fun. Aug. 22 through Sept. 1, we are on the road again, off to Paso Robles and Monterey, California, staying at the Marina Dunes. A big thank you to Wagon Masters, Chris and Donna Butler, and Co-Wagon Masters, Ken and Chris Trogdon, and David and Jacqueline Ettinger. Oct. 6 will be our annual RV Lot Potluck Lot party which always is a hit, to include various Class A, B and C class motorhomes and travel trailers on display. We have had wonderful club members offer to show their RVs, but we could use one more large Class A. If you're interested in showcasing your rig, please contact Meddy Carso. This is not only a fun way to "show off " your RV, but also an opportunity for members to see different types of RVs if they are planning to downsize or upsize their current RV or are in the market to buy for the first time. Nov. 5 - 9, takes us to Pechanga RV Resort in Temecula for our annual Thanksgiving get together. Thank you to our Wagon Masters, Ken and Chris Trogdon, and Co-Wagon Masters, Ric and Barbara Dudeck, and Wagon Masters mentees, Sue and Sal Pellerito, along with many others who stepped up to help make this trip a success. On Dec. 14 through 17, we visit Rancho Jurupa Valley Regional Park in Riverside, to once again take in the Festival of Lights at the Mission Inn with Wagon Masters, Chris and Donna Butler. This is always a great trip, and the Christmas lighting is spectacular. Adventure awaits you, come explore beyond your horizons and join the fun as an RVer or WOW (With Out Wheels).
