That's right. While our community is sweating it out in the summer heat, our club is dark for the month. But don't worry, we aren't going AWOL. Your executive board will still be meeting to plan September through December activities. In planning stages is our Texas Roadhouse Fundraiser for Sept. 9. Think about it: after seven months of f lag waving, perfecting BBQ recipes and trying to figure out fundraising activities, we've earned a break! In the military, they say "hurry up and wait." Well in our community, we like to say "party up and then hibernate." We will be spending the dog days of August resting our vocal cords and preparing for our "fall deployment." When we return, we promise plenty of camaraderie, tall tales and activities, and hopefully, with no fireworks involved.
