The 2026 Bocce Ball Club Tournament kicked off under perfect
blue skies on Saturday, June 27. To beat the forecasted heat,
organizers wisely started play early at 9 am.
There were 18 club members who battled it out on the courts
with plenty of cheers and friendly competition. By day's end,
Diana Carofano and Randy Daniels emerged victorious, etching
their names onto the perpetual plaque displayed in the Lodge.
This marks the third championship for Randy (including last
year!) and the second for Diana. Congratulations to you both!
Second place went to Robert Farmer and Tom Bird. A special
salute goes to Jesús Ramirez for achieving both Best Attendance
and Most Wins during our weekly games!
Following the matches, a delicious potluck luncheon brought
everyone together to share stories and celebrate. Heartfelt thanks
to Dorothy and Priscilla for their excellent organization!
As the summer heat recedes, the 2026–2027 Bocce Ball
season gears up for an early October launch. We will hold an
organizational meeting in September to discuss a potential new
format for weekly play and a schedule change to allow more
residents to attend. Watch for a community Blast announcing the
meeting date. Go Bocce!
