To my Yogi, Sandy:
ank you for teaching me to take time to look inward. is has helped me appreciate the big things more. You've reminded me to
appreciate the life around me, and to give myself the appreciation that I deserve.
ank you for allowing me to let go. Whenever I feel as if I need a break from the world, I think of you. As soon as I lay out my mat,
strap, and block, the outside world leaves my mind. You've allowed me an escape that I will be forever thankful for.
ank you for reminding me to be mindful. Having mindfulness is harder than it seems, but every Tuesday and ursday (as well as our
aernoon doggy walks), you remind us to be present and mindful. I have been able to be myself and let everyone else be themselves — all
thanks to your teachings.
And lastly, thank you for the inner peace that you give me, allowing me to breathe. Every yoga session, I arrive hurried, worried, and
bothered. And every session, I leave free, calm, and relaxed.
I won't speak for the other yoga students, but I am almost positive that those in Yoga and Chair Yoga feel the same as I do about our Yogi,
Sandy. You have truly transformed my life in the best way imaginable. It is a gi and a great privilege to have you as my yogi and friend.
anks to you, I have grown as a person, proved to myself the true strength I have, become more aware, and have ultimately started living
a better life. Namaste. ~ Barb Toyama
