FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2026 63
What is photography? The word literally
means drawing with light. When we
take a photo we want to capture the best
lighting (exposure) of the scene in front
of us. Modern cameras and cell phones
have programming which can correctly
expose an image without our interference.
But many times we want to manipulate
how the light is recorded to create our
own interpretation of what we see. For
instance, we can stop action, create a
mood, or blur areas around the subject. To
do this we use the "Exposure Triangle" to
control how and the amount of light being
recorded; it's a photographer's superpower.
If you want to know more, please join us.
We meet the first Thursday of each month,
6:30 to 8:30 pm in the RCN Main Room.
Photographers using DSLR, mirrorless,
and cell phone cameras of all skill levels
are welcome.

Photography Club
With August approaching, there are many wonderful activities to
enjoy with our friends and fellow residents. We would love for you
to join us every Wednesday from 12 to 4 pm for our ceramics class.
This class offers a great opportunity to explore new ideas, share
your creative talents, and enjoy a peaceful, "zen" experience while
painting. We welcome all unique creations and enjoy experimenting
with a variety of different techniques. Our sessions are filled with
laughter and music as we paint together before finishing our projects
in the kiln.
Please consider joining us for a few hours of fun and community;
we truly look forward to seeing you there. For more information
regarding the class, please contact Loretta Ramsey at (714) 803-6744.
