From the Desk of Gregg Ross As I write this, I am winding down my fourth year serving as a director on the Board. It has been my absolute honor and pleasure working with the talented Board, sta, and committees. I will not be running for a third term, at least I will not be running for this next one! Time for a break. I have learned a lot and hopefully taught others some things as well. My main takeaway from my experiences is that the Board, sta, and committee volunteers give 100 percent towards this community. e Board and committee folk ask nothing in return for their eorts. ey work tirelessly towards keeping our community vibrant, up to date, cohesive, beautiful and a place people are proud to call home. e Board judiciously keeps an eye on all our dues and spends them with the utmost care. ey, aer all, are paying the dues right along with everyone else and ensure no monies are ever being wasted. I hope the community chooses wisely, as they have been doing, for the next Board of Directors' elections. Listen to what the candidates say, what they have done, and how they have helped the community. Make sure they do not have their own agenda but only put e Colony rst. It is a tough job with of course no monetary reward, but just rewarding in knowing you are helping to keep e Colony as a much sought aer place to live and enjoy life, the amenities, activities and of course the Colonites! is article is short and sweet. I have only one thing le to say, take care everyone and thank you again for allowing me to serve all of you; it has been my pleasure. 8 | THE COLONY NEWS | AUGUST 2026 |
