Get to Know Your Property
e Architectural Control Committee (ACC) will soon begin
community property inspections, making now the perfect time
to take a few minutes to walk around your home and look for any
maintenance items that may need attention.
Check for cracked or damaged stucco, peeling or faded paint,
rusting gutter bolts, and wrought iron gates or fences that may
need repair or a fresh coat of paint. Addressing small maintenance
issues early can help prevent more costly repairs later.
While you're outside, make sure mulch and soil are kept below
the weep screed at the base of your stucco. e weep screed
allows moisture to drain properly, helping protect your home's
framing from moisture damage. It's also a good time to check
that sprinklers are not spraying directly onto stucco, gates, or
fences, as excess water can cause staining, rust, and premature
deterioration.
A quick property inspection a few times each year is one of the
simplest ways to protect your investment while helping maintain
the attractive appearance of our community.
ank you for taking pride in your home and helping keep e
Colony a beautiful place to live.
