PANCAKE BREAKFAST

Once again, thanks to all who
supported our June Pancake Breakfast.
It was another very successful event
with close to three hundred again
joining us for an enjoyable breakfast of
pancakes and sausage and for taking
the opportunity to visit with friends
and neighbors. These diners along
with those who kindly donated through
purchasing tickets and those who made
cash donations, help us raise sufficient
money to fund our scholarship program.
This CMGC Scholarship Program
provides scholarships for college bound
Murrieta High School athletes. As
well as being accomplished athletes,
having been selected by their high
school coaches, those chosen must
meet specific educational standards.
Scholarship payments are made
directly to the colleges of choice. Our
Scholarship Chairman Eric Krauss
continues to work closely with each of
the Murrieta High School coaches, to
get a list of potential candidates for the
Awards.
However, one of the big stories for this
breakfast was about the large number
of Murrieta High School students (nine
to be exact) who turned out to help the
CMGC volunteers prepare and serve
those breakfasts. A big thank you from
the Colony Men's Golf Club to all these
students for doing such a great job!
