Receptionist Cindy Irving, Farewell President Stevens presented Receptionist Cindy Irving with a bouquet of owers on behalf of the Board of Directors, sta, and the community in appreciation of her eight years of dedicated service. Cindy expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the residents for the opportunity to serve e Colony and shared that it had been a wonderful eight years. She wished everyone well as she bid the community farewell. Writ of Sale, Golf Course President Kathy C. Stevens informed the Membership that the Notice of Levy was recorded with the County on May 20, 2026, and was subsequently posted on the golf course property on June 2, 2026. She further reported that the Association is still awaiting the scheduling of the foreclosure sale. Fraudulent Lien Appeal President Stevens reported that no decision has yet been issued regarding the Fraudulent Lien Appeal. She stated that the court has until Aug. 10, 2026, to render its nal ruling. Santiago's Beauty Salon, Temporary Closure Ms. Stevens reported that Jim Roybal, owner of Santiago's Beauty Salon, is retiring, and the salon is temporarily closed. She advised that the Board is currently in discussions with prospective operators to reopen the salon. Before the salon can resume operations, the new operators must obtain all required licenses, provide proof of insurance, and execute a lease agreement with the Association. e Board is hopeful the salon will reopen in early July. Board Dark in July e Board is dark in July. e next Board meeting will be Aug. 20, 2026. 2026 Board Candidates President Stevens informed the Membership that there are four seats available on the Board of Directors. e deadline for submitting candidate applications was June 11, 2026. e following homeowners have qualied as Candidates for the Board of Directors: e Candidate resumes will be published in the August edition of e Colony News Magazine. e Candidates Forum will be held on Aug. 25, 2026, at 5 pm. e Annual Meeting will be held on Sept. 24, 2026, at 1 pm. Ballots will be mailed to the Membership no later than Aug. 21, 2026. Board and HOA Sta Contact Information Ms. Stevens encouraged Members to review e Colony News Magazine to ensure they have accurate email addresses and telephone contact information for Board Members and HOA sta. Architectural Appeal Hearing, Installation of Arch (McDonald) Homeowners David and Kim McDonald appealed to the Architectural Control Committee's (ACC) denial of their Home Improvement Application to construct an arch, which was installed at their residence. ACC Chairperson Gloria Brosky stated the structure does not conform to community aesthetics, is located within an easement, includes no electrical connections, and could set an undesired precedent. Mr. David McDonald stated the structure was intended as a replacement for an existing feature and acknowledged that the ACC application was not submitted prior to installation. He noted the lighting is plug-in rather than hardwired and oered potential modications, including adding a brick veneer, painting to match the home's trim, or converting the structure to a temporary installation. President Stevens advised that the matter will be reviewed further by the Board and a written decision will be issued to the homeowner. April 2026 FYI Financials e Board unanimously approved the unaudited Treasurer's Report for April 2026 FYI as presented. As of April 30, 2026, Total Operating, Reserve Liabilities, and Equity were $6,268,000. June 2026 Golf Course Subsidy Request e Board of Directors approved the June 2026 subsidy request for the golf course in the amount of $31,347. July 2026 Golf Course Subsidy Due to the Board being dark in July, a pre-approved Golf Course subsidy not to exceed $30,000 for July 2026 was authorized. Resignation of Shirley Broz Finance Advisory Committee Board Treasurer announced the resignation of Shirley Broz from the Finance Advisory Committee.
