Rev those engines and get ready for hot August car night! Did you know that Hot August Nights are coupled with some of the largest Hot August Car Shows nationwide? Every August Monterey Peninsula hosts Monterey Car Week, a world stage for concourse lawns, collector auctions, rare automotive debuts and unforgettable moments. Reno Tahoe celebrates 40 years of chrome in 2026 and is the Largest Nostalgic Car Show in the world. No, we aren't going to drive our Classics into the Ballroom, but what we are going to do is dust off all those favorite "car" songs and decorate in your favorite classic car theme. From Woodies, to Muscle Mania, to Hot Rod Lincolns, let your imagination DRIVE U! My personal favorite, and long time passion, is for America's Sports Car ~ The Corvette. So decorating in this theme is a no brainer for me. Yes, I am a purist when it comes to this precision engineered, well designed machine with advanced aerodynamics, track focused suspension, and downright good looks! Whether the iconic 1969 Mako Shark, equipped with a stock 427ci ZL-1 Chevy V8 engine, or a smokin' new Mid-Engine ZR1 that goes 233 mph at top speed, every Vette is a head turner. So whatever your passion, let's gear up for a night of nostalgia. The buffet table will be laden with good old fashioned summer faves, coupled with the 'not a crumb left' yummy dessert table! You are always welcome to bring your own dinner if you don't wish to participate in the shared menu items; however, know you're missing out on another huge talent within Four Seasons… cooking. (Sharing recipes has become a sidebar to our event over the years.) Whatever you decide to do, do plan to BYOB, plates, napkins and utensils. (Ice and ice buckets are made available for each table.) If you've never visited TGIF, this event is well worth your time. Seize the opportunity to sharpen your vocals among supportive friends or just kick back and tap your toes to their music.
