| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | AUGUST 2026 | 7 SAVE THE DATE: Thurs., Dec. 10 Social Committee's Holiday Charity Luncheon. More info next month Summer's here! Hope you're enjoying the warm summer temperatures, interesting programs around the community, and fun activities taking place at Four Seasons. On July 4th the Plaza was decorated in red, white and blue bunting, f lags, balloon arches and lights and attendees were greeted by Betsy Ross and Uncle Sam handing commemorative f lags. MC Russ Brown did an excellent job and a new part of the program was resident Zalmai Roashan's reading of his poem, "4th of July." The highlight of the evening was the unexpected f ly over of two planes trailing smoke - perfect timing after the military f lag ceremony, presentation of colors, and Sandy "Pita" Garces's beautiful rendition of the National Anthem. The All-American dinner featured delicious hamburgers with all the trimmings. Another surprise was the ice cream served by a classic cart "manned" by the Social Committee's Karen Hirschman and Linda Elliott and the music provided by Idlewild South kept the dance f loor filled. A huge "thanks" to event co-chairs Irene Chapman and Judi Lewis who, aided their many talented volunteers, definitely outdid themselves in creating a fun event for our community to celebrate the 250th birthday of our country. Time to rock around the clock! Join your friends and neighbors for dinner and dancing on Aug. 22 in the Ballroom. Doors open at 5:30 pm with Russ Brown serving as our MC for the evening. So get out your poodle skirts, t-shirts with rolled-up sleeves, and penny loafers (with actual pennies inserted) and join the fun! Tickets are on sale now at the Lodge at $25 each. This event is for residents and guests aged 21 and better so be sure to bring your own refreshments. In addition to the Sock Hop, an Eagles tribute band featuring The Long Run is scheduled for Sun., Sept. 27 on the Plaza. Do not miss this event. Tickets go on sale Aug. 19 at the Lodge at $25 each. This event is for residents and guests aged 21 or better so plan to bring refreshments and snacks. And please remember, glass containers are not permitted on the Plaza. And lastly, plans are underway for the 2026 New Year's Eve celebration. This year's theme will be "Black & White" so start planning accordingly for this popular annual event. More fun details will be revealed as we approach the new year. Everybody stay cool! Social Committee
