| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | AUGUST 2026 | 3 From the Master Board e Fourth of July Parade and celebrations were a tremendous success! ank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and came out to celebrate. Your community spirit made this year's festivities truly memorable. Coee with the Board will now be held on the rst Tuesday of each month at 5 pm in the Restaurant. We invite residents to join us for an informal opportunity to ask questions, share ideas, and meet with Board members. Coee and so drinks will be provided. Over the past few weeks, a representative from the United States Golf Association (USGA) visited Sun Lakes to tour our Championship Golf Course. e representative complimented the outstanding condition of our course and expressed interest in hosting a future USGA event here. We understand that Sun Lakes is being considered along with two other California locations. is recognition reects the exceptional work of our Golf Department and the pride our community takes in maintaining our course. e Board has signed a contract with GoAccess for a new community access control (gate) system. is upgrade will enhance security while improving the eciency of vehicle entry into Sun Lakes. Installation is scheduled to begin at the end of September. Management will provide additional information during an upcoming Open Board Meeting or Town Hall to introduce the new system and explain how it will operate. Based on a recommendation from the Golf Course Advisory Committee, the Board approved a reserve expenditure to repair sections of the golf cart paths. Several areas had developed signicant cracks or uneven surfaces that created safety hazards for golfers and golf carts. ese repairs will improve both safety and the overall golng experience. e Board is actively preparing next year's budget with a focus on scal responsibility. We continue to evaluate opportunities to reduce operating costs, increase revenue where appropriate, and ensure the long-term nancial health of our community while maintaining the high level of services and amenities our residents expect. We appreciate your continued support as we work together to preserve and enhance the quality of life that makes Sun Lakes such a special place to call home. We look forward to seeing you at Coee with the Board and other community events. Respectfully, Your Sun Lakes Master Board of Directors, ~ Gary Burkel, Howard Katz, Carol Tasko, Carlie Beakes, Joe Ganino
