8 | OHCC LIVING | SEPTEMBER 2026 | "It's hot!" may be an understatement, but we're fortunate to enjoy California weather! Even when it gives us something to complain about. If you plan to be active outdoors, please check the daily forecast and plan accordingly. On hot days, keep a water bottle or f lask handy. And if you misplace one at the Clubhouse, please check there first as replacing them can get expensive! By the time this article is released, I will have already addressed the incident involving OPD searching for individuals near Ocean Hills. One rumor was that a home invasion occurred in our community. I want to assure everyone that it did not happen in Ocean Hills. No report was made to Community Patrol, and based on the information gathered, the incident occurred in a neighboring community. With that clarified, I'd like to turn to a few safety reminders. As always, I do my best to address safety concerns shared by residents of our wonderful Ocean Hills Country Club community. One recent concern involves dogs being off leash. Please remember that, under the rules and regulations, dogs must be on a leash when out in the community, and the leash must be six feet or shorter. I know some dogs are very well trained, but accidents can still happen. As a former colleague of mine often said, "That's why they're called accidents." While we're on the subject of pets, please check the weather before walking your dog. Hot sidewalks and asphalt can be painful and unsafe for them. Another important reminder: please ask your guests to observe the community speed limits. Ocean Hills is an active community with many walkers, cyclists, and pets. A quick turn around a curve or an unexpected animal in the road could lead to a serious situation. Please help us keep the community safe by encouraging guests to drive carefully. If you have questions about the rules and regulations, please contact the front gate. I, or one of the other officers, will be happy to help. Our goal is to support compliance with the rules established for Ocean Hills Country Club. If you have concerns about any patrol-related matters, please give me a call or send me an email so I can address them with the team. That should be it for now! As always, thank you, OHCC residents, for playing such an important role in our community. We truly appreciate your cooperation and feedback. If you have concerns or suggestions you would like to see addressed in a future issue of Living Magazine, please feel free to contact me by email or phone. My office at the front gate is always open to Ocean Hills Country Club residents. ~ Tony Duong, Account Manager | Securitas Security Services, Tony.Duong@securitasinc.com, P-(760) 766- 1458, M-(760) 505-2146 Community Patrol Services
