Your Board is hard at work making the balance of 2026 memorable with entertainment that is creative, humorous, fun, meaningful, unusual, exciting, educational and thought-provoking. New residents and old, please join us. Finest City Improv's show was just great! We look forward to bringing them back. Playreaders are still temporarily on hold. We'll notify you once we're back up and running on our regular schedule (monthly on the fourth Wednesday from 1 to 3 pm). Upcoming Events: Oct. 5 - The Carlsbad Chinese American Club (pictured below) will entertain us with traditional music, dance and song. "Founded in 2001 with the mission of enriching the retirement lives of its members and the broader community through social, cultural, educational, and recreational activities." Doors open at 6:30 pm; 7 pm showtime. Admission is free to members, $10 for non-members. Oct. 14, Actors' Workshop, 1 - 3 pm – Please come and hone your acting skills. Oct. 21, 11 am - Our next regular Board meeting is open to all Theatre Arts' members. Please note, elections for our club officers are upon us and your input and participation are especially important now. Oct. 23 and 24 - "The Music Man." Get ready for trouble in River City. Join our OHCC cast in October for a joyful, high-energy production of Meredith Willson's beloved Broadway show. Premiering in 1957, the musical won six Tony awards, including Best Musical. Reserve your $20 seats at the concierge desk in the Clubhouse (10/6-9; 10/12- 16; 10/19-23 – 10 am - 1 pm). Tickets will also be available at the door. Show times are 7 pm for the Oct. 23 performance and 2 pm for the Oct. 24 matinée. Nov. 2 - Cabaret singer, Francesca Amari. Join Theatre Arts so you can participate in all of our entertainment and activities. Our annual dues are $15, for which you can enjoy all membership privileges. The trail begins by honoring our pioneer OHCC Founders, and continues with those who so bravely served us. There are bricks honoring family members, beloved pets, and favorite universities. What is your inspiration? The HOA continues to take orders for your own personalized bricks. Fill out an order form at the HOA office, and include a check for $75. Your inspiration brick will help line the trail to the top of the hill!
