Bill and Anita Lawrence traveled to Peru in July for a week on the rivers, tributaries
and creeks of the Amazon Rainforest. e adventure included river cruising on a
28-passenger riverboat, walks in the rainforest and exploring waterways in search of
pink River dolphins, monkeys, sloths, exotic birds, caiman and other animals that
inhabit the lush rainforest. ey also experienced the mysterious and eerie environment
of the rainforest aer dark on two night excursions looking for nocturnal animals aboard
open skis, shing for (and catching) piranha and visiting two indigenous villages along
the rivers of the largest biodiverse and tropical jungle on earth.
