The 8-Ball Club presents pool lovers with lots of opportunities for practice and tournaments. The 8-Ball Club practices or plays tournaments on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6:30 to 9 pm. The monthly 8-Ball Club business meeting is held on the first Wednesday of each month. In-house tournaments include an 8-Ball tournament on the second Wednesday of the month and a 9-Ball tournament on the fourth Wednesday of each month. The club also competes in team events with Solera Oak Valley and Solera Diamond Valley (see addresses below) on the first, second, third, and fourth Monday of each month: two here and two away. Solera Oak Valley, 1615 Fairway Drive, Beaumont, CA 92223; and Solera Diamond Valley, 1645 Paseo Diamante, Hemet, CA 92545 Whether you're new to the game or have played it before, don't be shy — stop by, pick up a stick, and give us a try. Walk in and ask for Del or any of the members playing about the club (David, Captain Kirk, Doug, Augie, Larry, Bella, Claudio, Rick, Scott, Leo, Jone, et al). The 8-Ball Club is always looking for new members who would like to learn to play pool to join us. A calendar listing the 8-Ball Club's monthly events plus sign-up sheets is on the 8-Ball Club bulletin board in the Billiards Room at The Lodge. We recently got together for lunch at La Casita, which is always fun. It's a nice way to spend a couple of hours together away from the Billiards Room. Many times, some of us aren't quite ready to leave, so conversations linger into the parking lot for a while. Please join us on a Monday morning. You know where to find us! ~ Pat Semler at (714) 325-5280 or April Bonot at (951) 660-3430 Billiards for Fun Group We made it through the hot August weather! Unfortunately, on most Mondays, the temps were still too high. But, cooler weather seems to be on the horizon so we expect to see all of our gals out again. We held our Oldlympics Tournament in early September and we will have photos of that event in the next Breeze. If there are any gals out there who would like a little challenge in their lives, we invite you to join us and give the Ladies Putting Group a try. This is a low-impact, high-fun, very social, and slightly competitive activity and the best part is that no experience is necessary. We have extra putters and balls if you'd like to join us. Our nine-hole putting green is located at The Courts, behind the pool area. We putt on Monday afternoons at 4 pm and on Friday mornings at 9 am.
