8 | OHCC LIVING | OCTOBER 2026 | "It's hot!" may be an understatement, but we're fortunate to enjoy California weather. Wait a second … This sounds familiar. By the time you all receive this publication we will be in October. September is usually the hot month and it's not an understatement. Please check the weather report if you plan on going out for a walk or engage in physical activities, have that water handy or avoid walking your pets in the heat. I wish all that celebrate Halloween enjoy the fun festive holiday that allows you to dress up and be goofy. Safety is always a concern within our community. Whether it concerns cyclists or walkers, they are all the same. I want our residents to understand that the reminders here in my article aren't regarding someone being a Debbie downer or a "hater." These are other people who are genuinely concerned about others' well-being. So, when riding or walking at night, please have a ref lector jacket or light that a driver can see. Please tell all guests to drive extra carefully within Ocean Hills, come to a complete stop at all stop signs. Leisure Village Way is 25 mph and drive extra slow between streets, some streets are very narrow. If you have questions about the rules and regulations, please contact the front gate. I, or one of the other officers, will be happy to help. Our goal is to support compliance with the rules established for Ocean Hills Country Club. If you have concerns about any patrol-related matters, please give me a call or send me an email so I can address them with the team. That should be it for now.
