Friends of Bocce
The Spring/Summer Tournament ended on Aug.
11 with an exciting playoff series. Winners of the
A Division are: Scott LaRoche, Joana Harris, Linda
Abeyta and Janell Karabatsos. Second place winners
are; Nick Caputo, Debbie Pritchett, Paul Wonton and
Carol Ellis. Winners of the B league are: Richard
and Bev Bly, Miti Taniguchi and Bonnie Greene.
Second place winners are: Peter Smith, Jean Serio,
Gary and Nora Burke. Congratulations to all.
We hope you have all marked your calendars
for our Annual General Membership Meeting
and Italian dinner. The flyers are available online
and at the courts. It's imperative that you make a
reservation. The deadline for signing up is Oct. 9.
The dinner will be Oct. 17 at the Main Clubhouse.
Doors will open at 3:30 pm. There will be a brief
meeting followed by a great lasagna dinner. Dinner
will consist of meat or veggie lasagna (specified on
your reservation), roasted veggies, Caesar salad,
garlic bread, tea /water with a cookie for dessert.
Wine and beer will be provided courtesy of the
Bocce Club. The cost is $15 for Bocce Members and
$20 for guests. Don't miss out on this fun event!
