70 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2026
October fishing came in with a whimper and ended with a
whimper. I really thought we were going to go fishing a whole lot in
October. That never happened. I could give you a bunch of excuses
for not going fishing, but that would be a major cop out. To tell you
the truth, I was just too tired to go fishing.
Maybe I never mentioned this in the fishing articles before but
your health will determine whether you go fishing or not. I went to
the doctor in October and he told me I was breaking down. My wife
thought that was funny, however I knew that was the truth. With
that said, I think I will have to curtail my many planned fishing
trips. With a sad heart, I will no longer be a member of our fishing
club. I have enjoyed writing the fishing articles and I believe I can
still do that.
I do have a report for you about your future plans for fishing this
winter. Be prepared to fish in the rain and snow. It is predicted to be
a very wet winter. I for one will sure miss fishing while I was soaked
to the bone bringing in a fish. Also I will miss bailing out the water
from the boat before it sunk with all the rain pouring into the boat.
I will still solicit pictures from my fishing friends from Four
Seasons to put in the Breeze. I thank God every day that I still have
friends that are still healthy enough to fish. I still plan to go fishing
once in a while, if I am lucky.
Tight lines to all my fishing friends and remember to take a kid
fishing. ~ Richard Carrasco, ricarrasco52@gmail.com
