Join us in the Ballroom the first Friday of each month, from 6 to 8 pm, to dance to 50s Rock and Roll, Motown and beyond, including some jazz and down home blues. We love to celebrate anniversaries and birthdays. Growing up in San Francisco during the 60s, my family would enjoy holidays and celebrations with a feast followed by singing and dancing. Please join us for a fun night of dancing! People from all parts of the world, with different ideologies can meet on the dance floor and have fun together. This cultural interaction assists in improving our health by expanding our mind and sharing our spirit! August was a quiet month for us. Many of our dancers took the summer off from dancing to enjoy other fun activities. Hope to see you all back soon. For those of us who stayed around, we still had fun learning some new dances. If your have ever been on the dance floor and got stepped on, you will understand this. When dancing, make sure to wear comfortable shoes. Tennis shoes, dance shoes, or regular flat-bottomed shoes are preferable. Please, no flip-flop styles on the dance floor — these can be dangerous for you and for those around you. Sandals are okay, however, they should not be sling-backs. Class schedule: Beginner Level, Wednesdays, 4 - 5:15 pm; Intermediate Level, Wednesdays, 5:20 - 6 pm. No intermediate level dance class on the third Wednesday of the month. This day is reserved for our monthly birthday celebration. Info., Priscilla, (951) 922-0755. See you on the dance floor! ~ Priscilla Robles
