Affirmation of Occupancy Status: Each resident and Owner will be receiving a request from the Association at the request of the Board of Directors to affirm their occupancy status. This request is in accordance with the CC&Rs to provide periodic affirmation of the occupant's status as a Qualifying Resident, Qualified Permanent Resident or Permitted Health Care Resident. When you receive this request in the mail, please return the response information and provide any other requested information in a timely manner. It is imperative to the Association's status as a Senior Community to have this information verified. Neighborly Notes Labor Day, Sept 2, is a Monday holiday. The Lodge hours will be reduced (7 am to 7 pm). This also means that Waste Management will be a day late in picking up this week. Plan to put your containers out on Tuesday, Sept. 3, by 5 pm for collection on Wednesday, Sept. 4. On Wednesday, Sept. 11, the nation remembers those who were injured or died during the terrorist attacks on that day in 2001. This day is designated as Patriot Day by a joint resolution of Congress (Public Law 107-88). This should not be confused with Patriots Day which commemorates the battles of Lexington and Concord in 1775, two of the earliest battles in the American Revolutionary War. Thursday, Sept. 12, is the General Session of the HOA Board of Directors. If you have questions or concerns about situations or problems which effect our community, you have an opportunity to speak directly to the Board for three minutes per resident prior to the beginning of the business section of the agenda. Mark your calendars. Plan to attend! By Bobbie Eckel The HOA Garage Sale is coming up soon. We all need to start looking around our homes and garages to choose items for the sale. Remember that what may be "extra" at your house will be a "new treasure" at someone else's home. Sign-ups for the HOA Garage Sale begin Wednesday, Sept. 17. The fee for signing up is only $7, which includes the permit and advertising. Parking lot areas are numbered; sign up early for the spot you want! One more reminder for this season: The Valley-wide Senior Softball League is looking for new members. Interested players must be at least 55 or better. Several players have already signed up from our Four Seasons community. Winter and summer sessions are available. The cost is only $30 and you play at least forty games each season. Game days are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Practice days are Wednesdays and Fridays from 7:30 to 9:30 am. The League plays at Valley Wide Recreation Center in San Jacinto. Please call (951) 927-4509 to sign up or to obtain additional information. Community News | FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2013 9
