Friends we will miss
Sonja M. Buccheri March 16, 1923 – August 8, 2013. Sonja Buccheri was born on March 16, 1923. She was the eldest
of four daughters born to Martin and Catherine Tavitian. She and her husband, John, lived a very full life. They met as teenagers
and were married for 66 years. John always said that there was no other woman for him. They traveled extensively, attended
the presidential inauguration for John F. Kennedy, and raised their family together. She was an excellent cook. Everyone always
looked forward to a dinner invitation to their home. On August 8, 2013, exactly four months after her husband's death, she
passed away. They are together again. She is survived by her two sisters, Mary Brooks and Audrey Ribero. She leaves behind two
daughters, Pamela Sipple and Susan Szerbiak, along with her grandsons. We will miss them both, but are thankful to have had
them in our lives all these years.
