Internet Tools for your Business Have you ever wondered how on earth you can get ahead in the competitive business world when you are a small or home based business? How can you compete with the companies that have corporations backing them up and with what seems to be limitless funding? Is there any low cost or free help out there to get you to that next level of financial freedom? Paul Norwood will be speaking at the Yucaipa Chamber of Commerce Small and Home Based Breakfast on Thurs., Sept. 5, at 8:30 am at the Chamber Office located at 35139 Yucaipa Blvd. Topics include utilizing the internet for your business, advertising with social media and invoicing on certain Internet sites as an alternate to Quick Books. You don't want to miss this one! As a small business owner he knows the trouble and the trials that come from trying to find clients and earn a good income. He has developed several strategies over the years and makes good use of the Internet to reach his goals. Paul will present the topic "Internet Tools for your Business" discussing easily accessible and innovative methods to keep your business competitive using tools already available on the Internet. He will also touch on the importance of the Internet for your business. Paul has been married for almost nine years and has two daughters. He is the owner of Safe Harbor Designs in Yucaipa, a web design firm that specializes in small business websites as well as graphic design and IT consulting. He attended several different high schools since his father was in the Army but finally graduated at Yucaipa High School. He has an associate's degree in computer networking, a bachelor's degree in computer science, and a Master's degree in education. Paul's key to success is curiosity. When he encounters something he doesn't know, he learns as much as possible. Besides his love of all things technology related, Paul loves to write, read, and spend as much time as possible with his family. Paul has ghost-written three books and published an action/ adventure/suspense novel in 2003. Reservations are required to attend the breakfast as our seating space is limited. This is a free event for Chamber members. Non-chamber guests are welcome but must pay a fee of $5. Reserve your seat by Tues., Sept. 3, by calling the Chamber office (909) 790-1845 or (909) 570-9267. The program starts promptly at 8:30 am so come early to network. ~ Michelle Lopez CHAMBER OF COMMERCE | OUR YUCAIPA | SEPTEMBER 2013 7
