Robin Sick Fitness Schedule Robin will be in the fitness rooms on the following days: • Mondays, Main Clubhouse, 1-3pm • Tuesdays, South Clubhouse, 1-3pm • Wednesdays, South Clubhouse, 8-10am • Thursdays, North Clubhouse, 1-4pm She also offers ½ hour personal training packages with one on one interaction for an extra fee. If you are interested, you can contact Robin at 229-7460. Pain Management Fri., Oct., 10 - 11:30 am, in the Main Clubhouse. The VNA California's Sun Lakes October Health Seminar is being co-sponsored by Redlands' Community Hospital. The Seminar's topic is Noninvasive Alternative Therapy for Pain Management: Thought Field Therapy. It will be presented by Michelle Bruny RN, TFTDx. This Seminar will be very educational as well as helpful for pain management! Info., Jalene Wells, 313-4610. Latin Heat The Latin Heat class on Wednesday mornings took a small break over the summer, however the instructor, Carmen, would like to let residents know that class will begin again on Tues., Oct. 2, from 10:30 to 11:15 am at the South Clubhouse. Hope to see you there! If you are interested in joining the class, it would be a good time to meet the instructor and get the class fee information. Lifestream Blood Drive Wed., Nov. 27, 9 am - 2 pm. Sun Lakes is hosting a blood drive to support Lifestream, which is a blood bank for the San Bernardino & Riverside Counties. The donated blood goes to local hospitals in our area such as Beaver Medical, San Gorgonio, and Loma Linda. Please help us on this day by donating blood. Our goal is to have 40 people donate! If you are interested please call the reception desk and sign up for a time slot. We have time slots every 15 minutes from 9 am to 2 pm. The mobile unit will be parked by the paddle tennis courts in the Main Clubhouse Parking Lot. Hope to see you there! Walking with a Purpose Are you interested in walking a few times a week? Robin Sick, our Sun Lakes Fitness Trainer, is interested in getting men and women out on the streets of Sun Lakes to get fit! Any fitness level is welcome from beginners to advanced. There will be an orientation on Wed., Oct. 9, in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room at 1 pm to go over questions and sign a liability form. If you are interested, the group will regularly meet in the North Clubhouse Parking Lot on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:45 to 8:30 am starting Oct. 15 to Nov. 7. This program is FREE. If you register at least a week early, we'll be able to save classes that appear to have not met the minimum enrollment. In most cases, we'll also be able to add classes if we exceed the maximum enrollment provided a wait list has been established prior to the first class meeting. Class fees are determined by the number of participants enrolled in each class. For current fees, please contact the class instructor.
