All the teams playing the Summer Tournament deserve a
medal. This was a very hot summer and they all stuck it out.
Kudos to you all!
The Fall Tournament is well under way with 67 teams. We're
using a split schedule for the second time. Pay attention to your
schedule after the fifth week of the tournament. We're working
toward controlling the weather… or at least minimizing its
effect on our bocce ball matches.
Have you signed up for our semi-annual Bocce Club meeting/
Holiday Italian Dinner yet? Oct. 20, is the magic date and the
Main Clubhouse Ballroom is the magic site. Italian entrees, salad,
wine, beer and soda are on the menu — and cookies! The cost to
you is $15 pp. As in the past, the club picks up the remainder of
the cost of each dinner. Reservations go to 1288 Pleasant Valley.
Bringing a guest? He/she pays $20. Reservations must be in by
Oct. 17.

It's that time again — time to decide whether or not you are
happy with the leadership of the Friends of Bocce. In other words
— it's election time! The current Bocce Board has expressed its
willingness to continue serving our membership and, to date, no
one has stepped up to challenge for a place on the board. Should
you desire to do so, to quote, "speak now or forever hold your
peace!" Well, not forever, but at least for the next two years!
