executive men's golf Congratulations to our Club Champion Frank Otten (low gross of 123) who defeated Bruce Herwig on the first tie-breaking "sudden death" playoff hole at our August Club Championship. This marks the second year in a row Frank has claimed our Club Championship. Also, congratulations to Eagle Trophy winner Homer Nichols (low net of 104). Additional tournament winners were rewarded with script for outstanding individual performance within the four different flights. If you would like to join in on the fun and camaraderie, we meet every Friday morning at 8:30 am at the North Pro Shop for a 9 am tee time. Every week you can enter to win $ for closest to the pin. We have monthly tournaments on the third Friday of the month followed by a luncheon. Oct. 18, will feature an Individual Stroke tournament (with an optional Eclectic held over 4 weeks). Tournament winners have $ credited to their accounts at the Pro Shop. At the luncheon there are also chances to win prizes. If you are interested in joining in on the fun and challenge of the Sun Lakes Executive Course we encourage you to come out some Friday morning. We are open to any male resident who is interested in golf fun and camaraderie. New member forms are available in the North Pro Shop and any interested Sun Lakes male resident is invited to join. A&D Golf Carts women's golf Please join us in the Sun Lakes Women's Golf Club (S.L.W.G.C.) and enjoy 18 holes of golf on the championship course each Thursday morning and the first Saturday of the month. On the third Tuesday of every month club members meet at the South Clubhouse for a short meeting and afterwards a catered lunch is served for just $10. Guests are always welcome. We are again staying at the Southpoint Hotel & Casino and playing the RHODES Ranch Golf Course on Oct. 22, and the Tuscany Golf Course on Oct. 23. Southpoint is a lovely hotel/casino that is conveniently located and offers a wide variety of restaurant and entertainment options. The courses are new to our group and should present a fun and challenging time for our golfers. Everyone is welcome and the sign ups are in our main pro shop.
