Yoga
There are three different Yoga classes in Sun Lakes at different
levels so students can choose which class is best for them and
can move up or down to another class as they wish.
Chair Yoga, Wed. 9- 9:45 am, North Clubhouse. Chair yoga is
designed for those who have not exercised in a long time, students,
who, because of health challenges, cannot get down to or up from
the floor easily, or those with limited strength. It involves some
standing poses and balance work with a chair to hold on to.
Gentle Yoga, Tues. and/or Thurs., 7:30 - 8:45 am, Main
Clubhouse. Gentle yoga is a safe place to learn classic yoga poses,
both in a chair, standing or lying down. Chairs are available for
getting up and down and also for balance. Modifications are
often offered as an alternative.
Yoga 4 Seniors, Mon. and/or Wed., 4 - 5:30 pm, North Clubhouse.
Yoga 4 seniors is the most active and challenging class in the
series. Some prior yoga experience is helpful. This class is for
students who exercise regularly, are flexible and willing to learn
more advanced poses. There is little chair work.
You are welcome to observe or participate to see which class
is best for you. There is no charge for the first lesson. You need
to bring your own yoga mat to class. Wear comfortable, loose

and start your holiday shopping with unique gifts
and crafts made by Sun Lake residents! All residents
and their guests are welcome to stop by to enjoy our
Annual Holiday Craft Show with free admission and
door prizes given away each day. Registration packets
for vendors will be available in the Main Lobby flyer
rack. Registration will begin Wed., Oct. 2, at 8:30 am
in the Main Clubhouse Bus room.
