Sun Lakes artist Joann Taylor will demonstrate her
watercolor technique at our meeting on Sun., Oct. 20, at 2 pm at
the South Clubhouse. All Sun Lakes residents and their guests
are welcome at the meeting. We hope to see you there and are
sure you will enjoy your visit!
The winners of the mini-show at the August general meeting
are pictured above (L-R) Betty Jo Ford (1st), June Jasman (3rd),
Judi Steenson (Best of Show) and Sheila Bryan (2nd). The
first, second and third place winners were chosen by those at
the meeting. The Best of Show was chosen by Steve McGill, the
demo artist at the meeting.
Everyone is invited to our Annual Social & Fund raiser
on Wed., Oct. 30, at 7 pm. A comedy show will be provided
by Psychic Comics, and there will also be a silent auction.
Tickets for the evening are $15 each and will be sold at the Main
Clubhouse as follows: Oct. 1-4, 10 am-4 pm; Oct. 14-18, 2 - 5
pm; Oct. 21-23, 2 - 5 pm; Oct. 24-25: 10 am - 4 pm. For more

Monthly classes are held on Mondays in the Arts and Crafts
Room at the Main Clubhouse from 9 am to 12 noon. Guest
artists teach a variety of media including oils, acrylics, pastels
and watercolors. The classes are for all levels of experience. Sun
Lakes artist Bridgette Greb will instruct in pastels/watercolor
on four Mondays (Oct. 7, 14, 21, 28). Art League members will
be given priority in signing up for the class. Non-members will
be admitted if space is available. The fee for the class is $40 for
the month for members and $45 for non-members. For more
