Neighborhood Watch Neighborhood Watch would like to welcome new members and thank all Block Captains for their continued support in helping to keep our neighborhood a safe place to live by being the "Eyes and Ears." Thanks to guest speakers Officer Greer, Motor Office Granada, George Diggs, Community Policing, Julie Deannda, and Four Seasons President of EPP Communications Dick Van Bree at our last Neighborhood Watch meeting in September. Our first Block Captain Meeting was held last month, with speakers from EPP (Emergency Preparedness Program) Avi Greene, Community Map and Dick Van Bree, Communication Ham/Amateur Radio Club President and proved to be very productive. There will be some strips changed out at the gate the Nov. 4 through Nov. 8, and exiting will be in the Crooked Creek area. Please mark your calendars for a Special Neighborhood Watch Meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 13, which will be an evening event at 6 pm in the Ballroom. Riverside District Attorney Paul Zellerbach and Sheriff Stan Sniff as well as Beaumont Police Chief Frank Coe and Banning Police Chief Leonard Purvis will be discussing public safety issues in the San Gorgonio Pass and the impacts of realignment on the county. There will be snacks 14 and soft drinks available for you. We encourage everyone to come and tell your neighbor. We expect a great show of interest in this event (informational flyers are at the front desk in the lodge) therefore we would appreciate you signing up to enable us to plan seating. The Craft Fair is Nov. 16, in the Ballroom and will be a public event, this is always a lot of fun and we are sure to have a good turnout but please be aware of guests to the community and if you see anything that you are concerned about please say something. As per Beaumont Police, feel free to call. Our community is growing and we need some ideas from creative residents. Would you help us out by designing a Neighborhood Watch logo for our future events and flyers? There will be a prize for the best logo idea. Please hand in your ideas, no later than Nov. 30, to the front desk, for the attention of Anita Worthen. As the holidays approach us be aware, lock your vehicles and your homes when you are coming and going, do not leave your garage doors open, be the eyes and ears for your community, if you see something ,say something, stay safe and enjoy! We have much to be thankful for in this beautiful place we call home. ~ Susan Wilson FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2013 | community News
