Emergency Preparedness Program Our next meeting is Thursday, Nov. 7, at 10:30 am in the Lodge Ballroom and we will have a special speaker, San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital Chief Excutive Officer Mark Turner. San Gorgonio Hospital is actively involved in disaster preparedness emergency operations and planning in their facility and the community. Their goal is to be prepared. This is accomplished with ongoing training, drills, partnering with other community emergency response agencies and neighbors. Come to the meeting to hear more about our local hospital and meet the CEO. Our meetings focus on educating individuals, groups and the community to be prepared in the event of a disaster. Many have taken the free disaster preparedness training offered by the city of Beaumont and Riverside County Offices of Emergency Services. CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) helps us to be better prepared to respond to emergencies. A CERT refresher training will be held Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9 am to 3 pm at the Beaumont Civic Center. Call Anita Worthen for more details and fliers. If calling to register with the city, let them know you are with Four Seasons. With the Santa Ana winds and dry season it is prime time for fires again. Our October meeting speaker was Fire Suppression Team Leader John McLaughlin, retired Cal Fire Division Chief and Four Seasons resident. He gave us many helpful tips on prevention and safety along with informative handouts. Tips for the month: Get a fire extinguisher or two and a First Aid Kit. They are readily available at local stores. Check the website ready.gov and come to our meetings for more information. Share, learn and participate. We meet the first Thursday of each month at 10:30 am in the Lodge Ballroom. ~ Anita Worthen EPP Chair Rules & Regulations Mark your calendar, we will now be meeting on the second Tuesday of each month at 9 am.
