Josh Conroy, Owner of Dairy Queen & Queen Bean Caffé to speak at SBHBB Breakfast Have you ever been curious how a good idea turns into a great business? What are the steps and in what order to you accomplish them? Is there business after college? Come and hear the story of Josh Conroy who started in the retail business in 2010 when he opened the Dairy Queen. The business is being operated with the help from his family. When Josh was asked why he started the Queen Bean Caffé he responded,"I saw that there was no communal space for people to congregate freely. I wanted to create a safe environment for anyone to come and enjoy themselves. I wanted to create opportunities for artists and musicians to be able to perform and display their art. I also wanted to create something that is entirely Yucaipa's. There is no other Queen Bean Caffé and it is only in Yucaipa." Conroy's establishment also helps the community with numerous fundraisers and you can enjoy and participate in them at any given time throughout the year. He plans to open other restaurants and other retail ventures within the next few years. Conroy states he is still fine-tuning the Queen Bean Caffé and he doesn't want to let it operate autonomously until he is confident with its performance. You don't want to miss an opportunity to be inspired by an idea and learn how to turn it into a successful business.
