art league Steve Felber will show how to use photography for art composition at the Art League General Meeting on Sun., Nov. 17, at 2 pm at the South Clubhouse. All residents and their guests are welcome at the meeting. We hope to see you there and are sure you will enjoy seeing a very informative demonstration! The winners of the mini-show at the September general meeting were as follows: 1st: Steve Felber for "Peggy's Cove Lighthouse" digital photograph on aluminum; 2nd: Nikki Corbett for "Tsunami" pastel and pencil; 3rd Place and Best of Show: Jeanette Burks for "Red-tailed Hawk" pen and ink. The first, second and third place winners are chosen by those at the meeting. The Best of Show was chosen by Bridgette Greb, the demo artist at the meeting. Watercolor artist Joann Taylor will be the guest artist at the Monday morning classes to be held on Nov. 4, 11, 18 and 25. Joann's class is for all levels of experience. Art League members will be given priority in signing up for her class, and non-members will be admitted if space is available.
